Speect

The current version of Speect is 1.1.0-69-g65f4 and is available for download at http://sourceforge.net/projects/speect/files/speect/.

The latest development code can be cloned (read-only) with git:

git clone git://speect.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/speect/speect

Note

Speect has only been tested on Linux, but might work on POSIX compliant systems. It will not compile on Windows machines. We hope to address this as soon as possible.

Voicetools

Voicetools is a set of tools for creating new voices. The current version, 0.1, is available for download on the project page at ` <http://sourceforge.net/projects/speect/files/voicetools/>`_.

The latest development code can be cloned (read-only) with git:

git clone git://speect.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/speect/voicetools

Voices

There are voices that can be downloaded at the Meraka HLT mirror http://hlt.mirror.ac.za/TTS/Speect/. We hope to be adding more voices as soon as possible.

Debian Packages

Speect has a project page on Launchpad (https://launchpad.net/~speect) from which Debian packages can be downloaded and installed. Help on the use of ppa software can be found here https://launchpad.net/+help/soyuz/ppa-sources-list.html.
